Clairvoyant Networks, LLC Reimagines Caregiving by Connecting Family and Professional Caregivers of People with Alzheimer’s, Dementia and Autism with New, Affordable Technology Solutions

Company launches with Theora Care products for situational awareness – knowing how, when and where loved ones might need assistance – to enhance caregiver peace of mind and independence for loved ones.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Las Vegas, NV and Austin, TX – March 5, 2018 – Clairvoyant Networks, LLC, a cloud and Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity company focused on providing situational awareness information to caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s and other conditions requiring remote monitoring when a caregiver cannot always be present, today announced its first non-clinical solutions for caregiver support with the Theora Care family of products. The solutions for better caregiving are being demonstrated in AT&T® Booth 5832 at HIMSS 2018.

The first two Theora Care products are Theora Connect, an attractive wristwatch-style wearable communication device, and the accompanying Theora Link smartphone app for caregivers. Together, the two products connect wirelessly via cellular service to provide phone, audio, GPS location information, and text notifications for caregivers to better understand specific information relating to someone under their care, even when they are not present.

Theora Care products create a connected family by delivering location and condition information about loved ones to multiple, trusted caregivers. All Theora Care situational awareness solutions provide assistive, affordable and easy-to-use technology for monitoring persons with Alzheimer’s, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Parkinson’s, and other conditions where additional oversight is beneficial. Theora Care is an ideal fit for aging in place, residential settings and hospitals.

Stephen Popovich, President and CEO of Clairvoyant Networks, LLC, is a serial technology entrepreneur and a family caregiver. His experience in keeping devices and people connected, via cloud and IoT applications, led him develop innovative ways to help his family stay connected when a family member developed a chronic condition. “I have been working in the network connectivity industry for 25 years, helping customers solve business issues. In trying to resolve caregiving issues in my family, I wasn’t satisfied with the current generation of elder care technology. So, for the last two years, the Clairvoyant team and I have been meeting with family and professional caregivers, researchers and clinicians, educating ourselves about the issues surrounding care, and how we can best resolve at least some of it through more innovative means. Caregiving is an honorable role, but can be very stressful, and we wanted a way to use affordable technology to equip caregivers with useful tools that would bring them more peace of mind while providing better care.”

Alan B. Stevens, PhD, the Holleman-Rampy Centennial Chair in Gerontology and Director of the Center for Applied Health Research at Baylor Scott & White Health, and Professor at Texas A&M Health Science Center stated, “Through both research and personal experiences, Steve and I are aligned in understanding the critical need for additional support for caregivers. Theora Care helps fill this void to improve the quality of life for caregivers and patients.”

The growing number of people with Alzheimer’s disease, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Parkinson’s disease and other conditions who could benefit from caregiver monitoring technology are significant. The statistics for Alzheimer’s disease alone are staggering, as an estimated 5.5 million Americans of all ages have Alzheimer’s disease. This figure is projected to rise to 16,000,000 by 2050. Approximately 15,000,000 Americans provide unpaid care per year for Alzheimer’s alone, in addition to paid care coverage1. This unpaid care is often in addition to their work, family and personal commitments. The goal of Theora Care is to help caregivers balance these demands by providing useful, intuitive and affordable technology to enhance caregiving and elder independence.

The Theora Link smartphone app enhances caregiver peace of mind by monitoring loves ones across the room or across the country. The Safe Zone feature enables caregivers to create virtual geographical safety boundaries for loved ones, which can be pre-set for routine activities, or created on the fly in seconds. Caregivers are notified should loved ones leave a safe zone. Quik Connect is a two-way audio feature that enables caregivers and recipients to connect via cellular, by providing a hands-free audio connection to a loved one, in the event they find themselves unable to manually answer the Theora Connect device. The

Theora Link application includes monitoring, data collection and analysis that can be used to inform health care recommendations by doctors and other professionals. Other Theora Care products will be introduced in the future that expand caregiving capabilities for both family and professional caregivers.

Theora Link and Theora Connect ship in Spring 2018. Products will be available online at Theoracare.com, and on Amazon®.
