Project Lifesaver International Selects Clairvoyant Networks, Inc. Theora Connect™ to Quickly Locate and Rescue Individuals with Cognitive Issues Who Wander

Theora Connect™ Is Project Lifesaver’s First GPS-enabled Solution

PORT ST LUCIE, FL, August 31, 2022 Project Lifesaver International announced at their annual conference the addition of the Theora Connect wearable to their tracking technology solutions. For over 23 years, Project Lifesaver has been bringing loved ones home through their innovative program designed to protect, and when necessary, quickly locate individuals with cognitive disorders who are prone to the life-threatening behavior of wandering. The addition of GPS locating technology will enable Project Lifesaver’s agencies to more quickly locate wanderers and potentially avoid the time and cost of a full search and rescue.

“We had been searching for a GPS-enabled wearable for some time, but none met our high standards,” said Project Lifesaver’s CEO and Founder, Chief Gene Saunders. “The Theora Connect was the first one that can provide the reliable location and connectivity that our program demands. Another important capability was the Theora Link smartphone app for family caregivers. With this application, family members can locate their loved ones and communicate with them instantly, potentially avoiding the concern and stress of a full search and rescue.”

“Our wearable is certified on the major networks and is one of an elite group of wearables that has AT&T, TMobile and PTCRB certifications,” commented Stephen Popovich, Company President and CEO. “We are pleased to provide a pre-certified, reliable wearable for Project Lifesaver that is heads and shoulders above non-certified devices.”

Clairvoyant Networks’ wearable has been proven to reduce search and rescues. Sumter County Sheriff’s Office in Florida serves the Villages, the world’s largest retirement community. Sumter County was able to reduce the time to recover a loved one from 3 hours and 7 sheriffs to 5 minutes by having the family member locate the loved one on their smartphone application. Families report increased peace of mind because they know where their loved one is, and can instantly communicate with them. The family can recover them, without needing to call law enforcement.

In addition to GPS location and tracking and two-way hands-free voice communication at the wrist, the Theora Connect has been providing loved ones and their families with the ability to remain as independent as they can.
