Theora Connect™ Delivers with its Latest Upgrade for Stylish Cellular Wristwatch Designed Specifically with Active, Independent Adults in Mind

Theora® Care Introduces Voice First, Weather App and More in Powerful New Release Supporting Adults Thriving in Place

Austin, TX – Aug. 26, 2021 – Clairvoyant Networks, Inc., developer of Theora Care™ award-winning remote monitoring solutions for older adults, announced several major enhancements and new features for its attractive Theora Connect wristwatch-style cellular wearable. This release provides major updates developed for Baby Boomers, retirees and any adult who wants an innovative and practical smart wearable and cell phone in one. The latest version of the watch builds on the existing powerful remote monitoring capabilities. The new release keeps the wearer informed and connected with Voice First technology for audio alerts, a helpful weather app, an enhanced Quik Connect™ auto-answering feature, and a programmable watch face lockdown mode for wearers who benefit from a consistent screen image.

“Reaching retirement age is a different experience today than it was for many of our parents. Through research and technology, we have much more insight into how we can take better care of ourselves, understand our activity and habits, and improve our wellbeing. As a result, we’re living longer and better than ever. Theora Connect provides activity information, connection to family and friends, location information, weather monitoring, and a mobile phone all wrapped up in a stylish wristwatch design to support this exciting new life chapter,” commented Stephen Popovich, Company President and CEO. “This builds on our award-winning remote monitoring technology and delivers a purpose-built smartwatch but without all of the unnecessary apps and extraneous data that can degrade performance.”

New and enhanced features include:

Weather App

You won’t get caught out again using our new weather app. Check the weather right on your wrist with Theora Connect. Theora Connect replaces your cell phone to check the weather or make calls. Simply touch the wristwatch screen to display the weather icon to reveal temperature, weather conditions, air quality, and current city location. The weather app also provides you with weather alerts for your location.

Auto-Answering Audio for Trusted Contacts

Voice communication is one of the Theora Connect cellular wearable’s most popular features. The power of automatic answering on the wristwatch has been expanded to include all trusted contacts listed on the wearable. This feature provides hands-free connectivity for the active watch wearer, and a fast and convenient way for caregivers to check on those who do not or cannot press a button to answer. Since only listed callers are allowed to call the wearable, no SPAM calls can get through.

Voice First

A first in the Company’s continuing development of voice enhancements, Clairvoyant Networks has added a voice prompt to confirm battery charging. Audio reminders provide the confidence to let the wearer know that the watch is fully charged and ready to go. This hands-free feature is also beneficial to those with physical or cognitive limitations or prefer audio interaction.

Lock Down Feature for the Theora Connect Watch Face

Sometimes wearers with cognitive issues may inadvertently change the watch face or other settings, which can cause confusion. A programmable lockdown feature has been added to ensure a constant user experience. In lockdown mode, the SOS button is still active, and the wearable can still automatically answer incoming audio calls from trusted contacts.

Other popular features already included with the stylish Theora Connect wearable and Theora Link™ application include Safe Zones with notifications for wandering, GPS location tracking and history, an SOS button in case of emergency, pedometer for measuring daily steps, and Clairvoyant’s free, top-rated concierge support.
